Gallery openings this week in the Lower East Sid

If you are ready to rock and stroll, here are your Lower East Side Gallery opening updates for the first week of March: There is a bunch of new exhibitions coming up in the following days. For starters, Sarah Entwistle’s first US solo exhibition is about to be unveiled. "It may prove a mere accident that we met, or it may prove a necessity" is her particular autobiographical exploration through her grandfather’s personal effects. Clive Entwistle was born and bred in Manhattan and committed all his life to architecture. In fact, the installation is inspired by an original design by Clive, and contains a wide range of objects that had been retained for decades in a storage room: drawings, prototypes, architectural models and even his personal correspondence with lovers. Our Pop-up neighbor in December: "Frends" - fashionable electronic accessories / enjoy 10% off (mention "Yaf Sparkle")

Today I met Mike from our new (temporary) neighbor, "Frends", a pop-up store right next door at 160 Orchard. I found two good reasons (aside from Mike being a really nice guy!) for you to stop by: First, I think that their collaborations with Zadig&Voltaire and Dolce&Gabbana created some really fashionable headphones that are worth a look. And second, Frends is happy to offer you 10% off their entire collection (mention Yaf Sparkle).

One of the many choices you have to make in life is your child's educational path. What sounds simple at first becomes a real headache once your child is approaching school age. 3/20/2015 8:09 PM

Of course we were nosy as hell when the retail space at 149 Orchard, basically right across the street from us, was transformed into a gun shop and hosted a media team for two days. Allwe were able to find out was that this was a commercial, but no one knew what for. Finally, we found out yesterday what it was all about and thought this is definitely a strong message that should be shared...
