One of the most awaited collections has been finally unveiled at Paris Fashion Week, and everybody was tremendously excited about it. Yesterday in Paris, at Chanel’s Fall-Winter 2016/2017 ready-to-wear runway show, the renowned fashion house seemed to pick up where the recent Oscars left off: with a clear message that jewelry, going forward, is very much about pearls. Starting off with eye-catching vivid colors, the Chanel fall/winter 2016-17 ready-to-wear collection then quickly changes to dusty and earth colors and prints, only to revive the label’s famous black and white proposals at the finale of the show. Of course, at every Chanel show, models are draped in pearls, but for this particular event, Karl Lagerfeld, the brand’s head designer, reportedly said, “I use them now in over-size and over-volume.”
