Born in New York City, with roots in France, Cameroon and Sweden, Yelena Noah is a citizen of the world and her work is a reflection of her multi-cultural heritage. She started painting symbols at a very young age. These organically evolved onto linen and silk canvases, into ceramic and stone mosaics, and now into a precious jewelry collection. As a successful model, Yelena’s lived between Paris and New York all her life. She graduated from the New School in New York with a Bachelors degree in Political science and International affairs. She has done workshops at the United Nations and is on the board of her family’s Noah’s Arc Foundation, created by her brother, Chicago Bulls NBA player, Joakim Noah. Yelena believes in jewelry with a narrative. Her jewels carry the story of a journey, a place or moment in time, a family’s history, a personal memory or spiritual belief…She thinks of jewelry as a fundamental aspect of culture and a celebration of our diversity and individuality.
